MAGNETIC CHESS (2) battled away fairly well when fourth at Geelong over 6 ¾f last time out, and he will don the blinkers for the first time, which should allow him to settle much closer from the outset. John Allen is a positive jockey change, and the pair merit healthy respect. On top. IMMINENT STORM (7) returned with a strong third over 6f here, beaten only by 2 lengths, and he should take plenty of improvement from that run. He usually improves with racing, and another good effort can be expected, especially with the aid of the pole position. CAPTAIN REDBEARD (4) was impressive breaking his maiden easily over 7f here nearly 3 weeks ago, and he is good enough to take the next step immediately. PRINCE MAGNETITE (6) has been freshened up, and should be kept safe in all top 4 combos.
