Tough race with every runner putting his/her hand up. CORRO (5) returns from an 18-week spell. Form last prep was mixed and it all came on soft or heavy tracks. The peak rating came when beaten 0.6 lengths at the Caulfield Heath which is excellent form for a race of this quality. Should run a big race. Stablemate DANTOOINE (1) is also fresh from an 18-week lay-off. Has a fine 6f record and is the winner of two from three when resuming. Recent Colac trial winner who looks all set for another successful return. Ciaron Maher's AZZACOOL (7) warmed up late and was only beaten 1.6 lengths when resuming over this distance at Mildura recently. Scored second-up last prep over this distance at Seymour. One of the key runners. Stablemate BRAZENGA (8) is first-up since 26 June. Will be better for the run but from a good gate with just 53.5kgs he gets his chance. BALLYNACALLY (2) ran a nice race here at this trip last start and will enjoy carrying 4lbs less this time.
