I AM ALGADON (13) is the horse to beat, with her Tatura debut win over this distance the strongest piece of upside in the race. She was below expectations as an odds-on favourite at Bairnsdale, but she is only third-up, has the apprentice claim and is expected to bounce back. COCO DE LUXE (2) brings the most reliable recent profile, having placed in a Class 3 at Albury after being well found and also finishing only a length away in BM62 grade two back. She'll be right there. ALPINOVA (17) is hard to dismiss off a long-neck second at Moe where she had traffic issues, and she does boast a win here. Doesn't win often but is among a few friends. ROYAL TURF (7) drops out of BM62 and BM64 company after two market-respected runs, if he can land a touch closer with Billy Egan taking over he'll go well.
