POSITIVO (9) gets the nod after going under by a nose at Bendigo, where he was near the top of betting and was pipped right on the post after covering ground. His previous Tatura run also had merit, and the Brad Rawiller association is a solid positive with two wins and four placings from nine starts together. THE QUIET IMMORTAL (1) is the reliable danger, coming through a BM62 third at the Bool and already proven at this distance with a win and three placings from four tries, his consistency his best asset. Hard to beat again. GIVE SOME LIP (13) was beaten as favourite first-up at Kilmore but made ground from the back and gets weight relief, while LEFT HOOK (12) drops from BM62 grade and has enough distance and 12-month form to rebound from two plain Cranbourne and Sale efforts.
