SIR BASIL (1) raced on the speed and kept going to score by 2 lengths last time out over 1 ¼m at Wodonga. Drawn to enjoy a nice run just off the speed. Beautifully placed and is sure to take plenty of stopping. MAKUSHA (3) finished in fifth over 1 ?m at Donald last start after being in the firing line on the turn, a less impressive effort than his fourth at Kilmore the run before. Has his share of talent and will prove hard to beat in this suitable race. JUST LANDED (2) was unplaced two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1m at Donald, beaten 5.5 lengths into eighth. Is better than recent efforts suggest and is capable of featuring prominently. I COULD DO BETTER (8) is drawn to get all the favours from the inside alley and can earn some minor money again.
