SAVETHEBESTTILLAST (10) is overdue for a win and might be over the odds here. Has placed four of the last five, including a near miss this course and distance two back. Should be in the finish and deserves to break through. RICH KING (2) is an up-and-coming type who was an impressive maiden winner at Bendigo. Fast into stride, racing on speed and dominating. Has good upside and will be well fancied but will need a good steer from the wide gate. WAMBEEN (11) missed the frame fresh but was beaten only 1.5 lengths. Strips fitter and is among the better hopes. IMMORTALISED (3) has wound up strongly last two and could be over the odds. POSITIVO (7) rates highly and can do much better this time.

Condition Book

Trifecta

A wager picking the first, second and third horses in the exact order. A trifecta box means paying more to ensure the horses can finish in any order in the top three spots.

Bobble/Stumble

A slip or a duck from a horse trying to leave the starting gates, often caused by the surface giving way under the feet. This can range from a mild misstep to a stumble down to their knees.
