ADAKITE (14) was beaten first up as favourite at Mornington but ran a good race to grab second and should come on from that. She's knocking on the door with three minor placings in a row and finds a nice race to break through with any luck from the gate. NOVAMIRA (10) improved rising to this trip at Bendigo last time out at her third start when fourth. She's another drawn wide but can improve again. HELVECCHIO (2) resumes having run well on debut at Flemington, getting home nicely for a narrow fifth. He'll likely get further this time in but should take holding out. TUZEMAK (12) presents third up and can improve having tackled a stronger race in town last time. VIKING KID (7) is a Wootton Bassett gelding for the Price & Kent Jnr yard who must be respected with Shinn booked.
