MARRON (4) is a two-start maiden who has tackled two richer races so far. Finished sixth on debut at Sandown Lakeside then improved stepping up to 7f at Geelong last time and was beaten a nose. Fitter again and extra trip looks a plus. Off a low draw and expected to go close. DOUBLET (3) was narrowly beaten at Pakenham synthetic fresh then was fourth at the mile there last time. Has upside and looks the danger. VICTORY EDITION (5) was triple-figure odds at debut but ran very well finishing fourth over 7f at Sale. Has upside and looks suited by the extra ground. STEAL AWAY (12) is better than last run and gets a chance to atone. BLING BABY (7) just missed this trip when second-up last campaign so can improve sharply.
