Verdict

HOOK 'N' SPUR (2) made debut early in the spring and after getting back to the tail worked home well late. Was tipped out again and returns fitter for two trials. Has upside and looks well placed here. Should be winding up late. SWEET FARNAN (14) was a shade disappointing two back then drew wide late time and was rushed forward and gassed early before fading out of it. Much better draw here and gets chance to show some of the earlier form. OPULENT OSCAR (4) ran a much improved race in a richer maiden last time t Cranbourne when a fast finishing third. Blinkers added and looks a leading player on the last figure. LET RIP ROD (3) is a gelding by Russian Revolution making his first appearance. Well educated and showing promise leading into this, most recently winning a Pakenham jump-out. Watch closely in this weak maiden.

Led from a poor gate last time but off a low draw here can improve sharply.
