Knocked about by scratchings, and it's tricky. SEXY WARRIOR (9) resumed over 5f at Pakenham when heavily bet, but settled back and raced wide without cover (vet cleared). Has a handy 7lbs claim today and the blinkers on for the first time. Will have taken extra fitness and learning, and she gets her chance to make amends. The Hayes yard has scratched the most likely in this race, and HELL'S DIAMOND (10) heads a two-prong stable attack. Debuts and has shown promise in a string of jumpouts. Stackhouse sticks from the latest and from an inside barrier, a bold run is on the cards. SINGAPORE SPLASH (8) won a Bendigo jumpout but looked a run short at Kyenton on debut. He showed enough to take seriously in this grade with the extra fitness. PLAYFUL AS (12) disappointed on debut in the same contest. Stackhouse gets off, but she's a likely improver in the Hayes camp.
