NISHIOKA (7) lifted strongly late on debut and only missed out on winning by a head at Bairnsdale over 5f, and the extra 1f here should make all the difference. With the right run from a tricky gate, she is good enough to go one better. HURRICANE GIRL (3) was runner-up when making her debut on the Ballarat poly track, and since then she has contested a couple of tougher fields, with mixed results.
