Verdict

ARABIAN PRINCE (5) resumed at big odds in a Caulfield Open 3 over 1600 and needed the run. Brought strong Listed and Group form to that and is sure to appreciate the step up in trip. Has his first start in a maiden, and with the extra fitness, he should have them well covered. If the above is off his game, NIGHTOWL (2) will be there to pounce. Drifted well back last start then wound up strongly beaten just 1.2 lengths over 1 ¼m at Ballarat. That was his first try over a middle distance, and he'll finish hard. SNOBBERY (7) led and missed a whisker in a Stony Creek maiden over 1 5/16m, heavily bet. This is tougher, but he will be fitter again and is heading in the right direction. HOT SPIRIT (11) missed by 2.3L in the Nightowl race at Ballarat. Jumped at a high price but gave a good sight. She'll be around the mark on that effort.
