Tricky. PURE RAIN (7) just missed on the Ballarat synthetic and then resumed further improved when beaten a long-neck at Kyneton. Raced favourite at Stawell following and didn't have the best of it. Presents fitter again with Kelly reunited from the Kyneton run. Well-placed to get back on track. SOVEREIGN DANE (1) resumes and has switched from a Queensland stable on a 201-day return. He's had three jumpouts, and race rider John Allen was aboard on the middle one. Has a low gate and claims if presented on song. SPINHOF (6) brings a win and placing from 52 level and has some weight relief. Peaks today and jumps from the inside barrier. Has claims in this lineup. IN THE SUN (10) went close at Stawell 8-days ago, surprising the market. He'd be a chance if he held that form. DON'TCALLMECHAMP (4) can build on the comfortable Wagga Maiden win.
