Verdict

It is hard to go past WYANDRA (8) whose form leading into this is streets ahead of his rivals'. Led and looked the winner until nailed late last start over 6f at Pakenham. Less depth to this field. Meech should control things and land a first win for this consistent three-year-old from the Moody/Coleman camp. CARIBBEAN VILLA (1) is back from a four-month spell. The best of three runs in the maiden campaign was a very close second over this trip at Tatura at his second appearance. Poses a threat if he found that form a run earlier this time in work. PLATINO (6) crosses the SA border to make his debut. D'Argento gelding who was an impressive trial winner at Oakbank recently. Respect any positive market moves. TWISTER (7) is a first starter by Nicconi. Looks to have ability judging by his third in a Geelong jump-out on 15 April. COOL BEE BEE (2) can improve on a modest effort at Warracknabeal when resuming, his first run under new trainer Paul Preusker.
