Verdict

CELTICS (4) lived up to some nice trials to win impressively first-up at Bendigo then stepped up to 64 grade last time where he beat home all bar the handy Purple Streak. Again draws well here and can be prominent throughout. HEY JESSIE (5) was tested in Stakes grade after an impressive Bendigo win at big odds and while outclassed there, she's clearly taken no harm from it as her two jumpouts this time have been of a horse who looks poised to make a big return. LAMASSU (6) resumed in a BM66 at Donald and was serviceable getting within 1.65 lengths when fourth. Fitter for that and better suited up in trip. Similar story with THAT'SMONEYBROTHER (7), who was hard to miss charging into third first-up over 5f at yarra Valley. VILLE DE LUMIERE (10) rises in grade here, but has race fitness on some key rivals and is drawn well.

Filly back from a spell of five months. Has placed previously first up from a break. Finished off last campaign when last of 8 at Caulfield in the LR Twilight Glow November 29 over 7f, soft track, 13 len behind Ruska Roma with 125lbs at $31. Previously first up, second last in a small field at Mornington 3yo Bm64 September 28 over 5f, 3.5 len behind Cavalry Girl carrying 129lbs at $9. Will find this easier than later races last prep and has been trialling well.
