STEWART (4) was a winner over 5f at Stony Creek last time out, dropping out early before coming home with a powerful run to score by 1.3 lengths. On the quick back-up here, so he's obviously done well during the week, and the way he won that race suggests the extra trip will be no issue. EMERALD COURT (5) turned things around last start and got the job done by 1.5 lengths over 5f at Colac. Up in weight and drawn out this time, but was too impressive to ignore. SMARTICON (2) has been plain since a big win first-up but has been freshened since the last run and returns to the scene of that most recent success. THE CRUISER (8) finished second to his stablemate Stewart last start but beat that galloper home two back, so if you like Stewart here you've got to concede The Cruiser a chance. INFINITE MATRIX (1) hasn't won for a while, but rarely runs poorly and he might relish a bit of weight relief and low draw.
