Verdict

A good race. JOB DONE (1) made it two wins on the bounce at Caulfield Heath, scoring by a head over 5 ½f in a 74, backed off the map. Will strip fitter again and benefits from Bates' handy 4lbs claim. Has a wide gate to contend with, but with average luck will be hard to beat. FARAWAY DREAM (4) is also third-up seeking the hat-trick. She is free running and was heavily bet winning a 64 handsomely at Cranbourne last time. Carries 15lbs less today, and that brings her right into it. MISS OLE (2) resumes off wins this grade at Sandown-Hillside and Flemington. She's had two jumpouts, and winning rider Ben Melham is reunited. She won't have to improve much to go close. ESMAHLI (3) bounced straight back into the winners' circle, delivering a 64 comfortably at Mornington. The outside barrier makes it tougher, but he's sure to keep improving. ROYAL RENDEZVOUS (9) is in the mix, building on his Maiden win at Werribee on debut.
