Open race. CIVIC SQUARE (4) resumes having run well enough on debut at Sandown Hillside in a strong maiden behind American Eagle. Since given time, he's trialled well and can be an improver this time around. MR NATURAL (6) was solid on debut at Moe over an unsuitable 5f having charged home on debut at Ballarat behind the smart Angelic Rise. Up in trip should suit much better now. BUREAU (3) is a Home Affairs gelding for for the Waller yard who debuts. He's jumped out well enough, betting will be key. WRITTEN VELOCITY (8) is a nicely bred Written Tycoon colt for the Waller yard who draws well and has claims, again, market is key. FLAMENCO STAR (9) is a Zousain filly for the Corstens & Larkin yard who can run well.
