Promising youngsters engaged, and the race day betting needs close monitoring. TORTURE (1) resumes and just missed in Stakes grade on debut. Won her latest jumpout and is well placed with Radley's 7lbs claim. The gate is awkward, but she will be naturally improved. With average luck she will be hard to beat. GHANA'S AKAN (8) debuts and has looked the goods at the jumpouts. Draws a soft barrier, and Jamie Melham's booking suggests she's pleasing. A bold run is likely. DIVINE DOT (6) looks an each-way play building on her easy all-the-way win at Mornington on debut, heavily bet. Has to skip over from the outside barrier today but expected her to be very competitive regardless. MOANA SPIRIT (4) was taken over to Adelaide for her debut and was much too good in an Open 2. She's won a Flemington jumpout since and should get every chance to repeat the dose. GOLDEN PULSE (3) and LUCKY BROOK (9) on debut are others to consider.
