Verdict

Great contest to finish. With the benefit of race fitness, the leaning is to GLOBE (4) although the early markets have trended that way as well. He sat on a genuine speed at Moonee Valley fresh and stuck on gamely for second, beaten a long neck. He maps ideally here and might just have too many things in his favour here. Very wary of KINGSWOOD (6) and how he returns off an injury. His G3 Coongy win was excellent before a close up fifth in the Five Diamonds. Forgive the heavy track defeat before a spell, he's a good horse. YOUNG WERTHER (9) did enough fresh at Moonee Valley from a long way back. His best form reads well if he's still got it. GOLDEN PATH (1) tried hard fresh at Caulfield and should be fitter.
