ZETHEROS (9) has produced a couple of fine runs since returning from a spell. Flashed home to grab second when resuming over 7f at Warrnambool then stepped up to the mile at Stawell last start and was narrowly denied after racing a lot closer. Gets the gun run from gate one and looks a great chance to go one better. IMPENDING SWAN (10) appreciated the step up in distance last time out at the second run of the campaign, driving hard late to be beaten under a length over 7f at Echuca. Ready to tackle the mile now. THE CHARLATAN (8) last raced when beaten a whisker after racing wide over 1 ¼m at Warrnambool in December. Four jump-outs since 23 April should have him forward enough to make an impact. SHARE THE PENNIES (13) mixes her form but was excellent last time out, chiming in late to just miss the frame over 1 ¹/16m at Geelong. One to watch for late in the piece. NUMBERSNEVERSEEN (5) struggled on debut last start but the longer trip today will help.
