Verdict

Tricky race. BRUTIFY (10) is another without the hottest winning record but coming off a good run at Kyneton in similar company. Drawn wide but will roll forward and give a sight without a whole lot of pressure. EGERTON REEF (13) won his maiden three back and has been right there in two runs since. Drawn to effect and should go well again for Stackhouse who can kick up to hold a spot. LOPE DE LARDO (9) put in a good effort in stronger company at Ballarat, up to 7 ½f should suit nicely now and it's hard to pot anything the Bedggood stable send to the races. FEARLESS WRITER (8) is in the mix as well, she'll be running on.
