Slick race that might only have a $17k winner's cheque but it carries $70k worth of VOBIS bonuses. QUEEN SERENA (10) is eligible for $40,000 of them, so there's plenty riding on it and you suspect this has been a target race. Two jumpout wins at Flemington this time in suggest she's a key player. COME TOGETHER (2) has had the benefit of a trip to the races and was far from disgraced, albeit given every chance. TYRANT REX (9) is a first-starter from the powerful Freedman stable and while he's drawn poorly, he looks to have the early speed to offset that. Speaking of early speed, STAR GYAL (11) looked very sharp winning a 3f here at her latest trial and she has the advantage of being trained on the track. THE TROUBLESHOOTER (8) is the most experienced runner in the race and is coming off a PB performance.
