A small field, but a keen contest. Two of the best chances are by Dundeel and should enjoy the step up from a mile. SKY DEEL (4) met six rivals at Caulfield and ran into a place after a slow start. He's improving and will be close to peak. JOHNICH (2) is third up and is also heading in the right direction. He's been kept up to the mark with a trial since his Pakenham placing 20 days ago. GRINZINGER TUNDRA (1) has been mixing the form, but best to forgive the latest. His narrow defeat over this distance two back at Cranbourne reads extra well. Has Egan aboard today, and he has to be considered. KING TAGALOA (3) brings solid 1m form, and Mertens is reunited. He's well in the mix.
