Verdict

SCENIC POINT (10) was scratched from a good race on Saturday to come here and take the softer option. She didn't come up last time in against top opposition but had shown so much ability early doors and looks to have trialled well. Don't love the draw but she has to be a big chance. REDDERS (8) is the one with map favours which can be crucial on the Lakeside course. He was no match for the smart Shadavar in a good race at Murray Bridge last time but ran well for second and tracks the speed from barrier one here. PERSIAN CAVIAR (15) is the foal of the late, great Black Caviar who resumes. He's only raced twice across two preparations but has shown promise and draws well. KING TUT (4) resumed with a sharp win at Caulfield Heath and will be charging at them late.
