Verdict

Fancy the returning HOT DIGITY BOOM (2) finds the right race to return a winner. He shaped with real promise from the get-go and earned himself a couple of shots in better races last prep. Held up well in a couple those and he has jumped out nearly for this return. MERCURIAL LADY (14) was outdashed at Pakenham last time but she is a better horse when the pace is stronger and she should get that here. She has been a bit frustrating at times but the talent is there. STORMBOURG (20) brings a nice profile to the table, second up off a nice return which is the same spot that we find MARKDEL (9) who was able to win after nine months off the scene and was also able to score second up last prep which bodes well. RIPROAR (1) was off an even longer break resuming Never a threat but not beaten far in a busy finish and can only be better for that one.

Form hard to fault. Last start sat on the speed and boxed on steadily 4th of 8 at Pakenham Bm70 on November 28 over 7f, slow going 3 len behind Knobelas with 127lbs at $3.20. The race before that 4th of 10 at Caulfield Heath F&M Bm70 on November 12 over 6f, on a slow track, 1.0 len behind Wings Of Desire carrying 131lbs at $5. Outdashed by a good winner last time but has the ratings to say this is within range.
