Verdict

RUNLIKENENCRYPTION (12) rattled the bar in town a few times last prep. Looks capable of winning one in the big spoke and confirmed that by again running well and just missing out when resuming on the Heath. Now she finds her race. Not a great deal on her plate here and if she takes a nice step forward on the return she's the one to beat. Back to the short course worked for BLACKBERRY BOMB (8) last time so the 5f can set up nicely for her. MR MAGNUS (6) needs things to fall in his lap a bit and his overall record tells you a bit about that but he's got the talent if stars align. REWARDS AND MORE (1) has the winning record and he hasn't missed the frame in three goes second up. Doubt that changes. BEHAVIOUR (5) is also second up having won at this point of last campaign. Fresh run was sound.

Horse Racing Basic Terms

Also Eligible

A horse that is entered but does not draw into the body of the field due to too many entries, and thus is not permitted to start unless there are enough scratches to shrink the field size.

Main Track Only

A horse entered for main track only (MTO) is one hoping the weather forecast or track conditions will move the race off the turf course and onto the main track. They are scratched the morning of the race if the conditions stay dry.

Claiming Race

A race in which horses are entered for a certain price, or claiming tag, which is also their sales price. An owner can claim any horse entered for the tag before the race begins, and owns them as soon as the gates open.
