Verdict

Good little race. BELLA VERONA (9) has been a bit of 'believe your eyes' in two runs to date, winning arrogantly by circling the field on debut at Cranbourne, charging home for an unlucky second last time at Caulfield. Love her going to 1m on the big track. TIPTOP TORI (2) comes here off a big win in the Adelaide Guineas at big odds. Settles back early but winds up late and a big run is expected with Bates up. BERLEMONT (10) has been knocking on the door including a last start fifth over 1m at Mornington when only 2.5 lengths from the winner. Include. HIMALAYAN (12) lightly raced filly who was beaten a long neck into third last start over 1m at Caulfield. Racing well and likely to measure up again.

Chasing a hat-trick. Last start ran on from midfield and won by a nose at Ballarat Bm62 April 30 over 7 ½f defeating Hoodys Horse with 127lbs at $5. The race before that won by 1.3 len at Pakenham Mdn-Sw April 16 over 7f on a heavy track defeating Who'llstoplorraine with 127lbs at $1.65. Big splits last time, fancy she can measure up at a price.
