Tricky. KURAKKA (8) is going well and a win looks close, trying hard when in the market at Flemington last start in a good race. He's been kept up to the mark since with a 7f trial and he'll take plenty of catching with no weight on his back. AUTUMN SLIDE (10) charged home from a horrible spot two back at Caulfield Heath and backed it up with another good close in Listed company in Adelaide last start. Can't see 1 ½m being an issue off recent runs, she just needs to hold a spot early. ALDER (1) loomed up to win the Warrnambool Cup last start but just went down narrowly. Big weight here and away from his heavy tracks is the query but he's the class. HOUDINI (11) won well two back on the Lakeside track and hit the line sweetly last time at Bendigo. He gets in light and should take beating again.
