Verdict

Looks a lovely race for SURFIN' BIRD (1) second up to a mile. She was rock solid first up in a slowly run 7f behind Lazzura which isn't really her go. She's 2/2 over this trip and did blow the clock up when she won here last year on Coongy Day. She'll likely lead and give a massive sight. ON DISPLAY (5) raced wide but looked home for all money first up in the G2 Let's Elope at Flemington, only run down very late. She'll come on from that, not sure what they'll do from the draw but she looks hard to hold out. ASTRAL FLAME (6) resumes. She measured up to this level nicely last campaign and can roll forward, watch the late betting. SAVITRI (9) was a dominant winner in easier company at Mornington second up and looks capable of measuring up to these. PERFECT TEN (8) is off a short break but was flying last time in and can run well.
