Verdict

The big one of the day that brings together a nice field of promising types. HIT THE ROAD JACK (4) brings a sense of timing and looks ready for a peak performance. Finished strongly to get within 2 lengths of Sing For Peace in the Crisp Steeplechase and he was narrowly beaten in the Grand Annual, so he'll relish the trip. SING FOR PEACE (1) will keep them all honest despite the 152lbs and he's two from two over the fences this prep, so warrants maximum respect. ANDY WIN (2) steps up to the bigger obstacles after his Grand National Hurdle win, which capped a rapid rise through the ranks this season, and it would be a brave person to suggest he can't go on with it. ARDAKAN (6) only broke his jumps maiden three back but beat home all bar Andy Win in the GN last start so he could progress even further. GOLDEN GARDEN (3) faces his toughest test, but is in too good a form to discount.
