Verdict

M'LADY ROSE (12) came off a Group 3 with a solid first-up effort in a 64 at Sandown-Lakeside in stronger. Wasn't far away on a heavy track at well-supported over 1m at Pakenham and will be better for that. Will push forward and the lightly raced filly has the talent to win. UPSTAGE (13) was backed off the map winning her Maiden over 7f on the same day. Maps for a soft run and can improve again on a dryer surface. She also has plenty of upside. CALEANA (5) disappointed as favourite at Bendigo but missed a whisker here over a mile prior. Has been kept on the fresh side, and racing forward can get back on track. GALANT KNIGHT (3) had been well educated and was too good for the Werribee Maiden on debut. Has a wide gate but she will keep improving for a top metro yard. LOVE SYMBOL (11) steps up in trip and there was plenty to like about her nose defeat at Geelong two back. Has the rail and Currie sticks aboard.
