Verdict

Plenty of key scratchings, especially on a good track. It leaves PERFECT NIGHT (9) as clearly the one to beat. She ran a good race first up at Geelong, beaten 1.5 lengths into third without the best of luck. She was thought highly enough of to contest Group races last time in and with the added fitness here looks nicely placed. MISS ELLANEOUS (8) is coming off a solid win in easier company at Bordertown. This is harder but she'd been competitive in this sort of grade prior and can challenge. VENETIAN CHOICE (12) ran a solid race first up at Geelong in a bunched finish. Fitter now and D Lane on from a good draw suits. COMIC HERO (1) was first up off a short break last time and can strip fitter.
