Verdict

Siding with the unraced WAZING (11), a filly by Starspangledbanner on debut for the Jerome Hunter yard. She's had plenty of trial/jumpout experience, winning a heat in December then just shaded after showing speed in her latest. She draws for every hope and the race brigade haven't shown all that much. CARPE ASTRA (8) has shown some ability in three runs to date, no match for an impressive winner at Murray Bridge last time but holding down second. She can measure up. PULL MY FINGER (12) has had a few chances, placing in 4/6 to date. He was only beaten a long neck at Kyneton last time and won't need to improve much to be winning. GOLD THUNDER (13) was better last time at Werribee when sticking on for third and has minor claims again while VADELLE (5) can run a forward race on debut with Lane booked.
