Verdict

AVONVIEW (3) looks nicely placed having just found one better last start at Mornington. That followed a win at Kilmore the start prior. Only needs to hold that form to be winning once more. RULE OF SALEX (10) returns from a short break after a minor placing over 1 ¼m at Mornington a month ago. He's had a tune-up trial in between and should be right there again. TESTING THE CUGAT (9) pushed forward from a wide draw last start and kept going to win by one length over 1 ¼m at Kilmore. Stringing two together has been a problem but he's well placed off the last effort. WINTER GRACE (5) hasn't won in a while but should be ready for improvement up to 1 ?m now, respecting.
