DEMPSEY (2) is an eight-start maiden who looks close to breaking the duck after finishing in the placings at his last couple of runs at Kilmore. This looks very thin and he only needs to hold his form to go awfully close. COLOUR CIRCLE (1) struggled to finish 7 lengths from the winner in sixth over 1m at Pakenham last start but had been solid at Moe prior and can be hitting the line. CRUSH PUPPY (11) struggled over 1 ¼m at Stawell last start but had been solid prior and can improve in a winnable race. LOMENIE (12) has been okay in two runs back and will find this easier than a good fifth at Bendigo second up, expect she takes holding out.
