The extra 1 ½f is the key here, and she will again be hard to hold out. MERRIAMA (8) showed a quick turn of foot when scoring her maiden win here 2 weeks ago over this trip. She has more than 3 lengths to spare over her rivals that day, and she could well be good enough to take the next step immediately. JURISPRUDENCE (2) is a very consistent type who has been thereabouts through the winter. A former surface on this course seems to suit him, and he should be right the finish again. SUGAR DADDY (3) kept up a strong gallop when finishing second behind a runaway winner at Te Rapa 3 weeks ago. He is a progressive gelding who should figure in the top 4 here. PACT (10) built her form strongly to score here by half a length 4 weeks ago. That was her first run on a good track, and she can go on with the job.
