Verdict

GLITTER CODE's tendency to start slowly tempers enthusiasm to a degree but he's not been seen to best effect either start since his promising stable debut second at Beverley in the spring and could be worth chancing to gain a belated breakthrough success. Last year's winner Star Start and Sunny Orange arrive in good heart and look sure to be in the shake up also.

Glitter Code (Ire) silk

Still looking for a first victory but positive start for this stable when runner-up at Beverley (8.5f) in April. Excuses in 2 runs since, leaving the impression he should have finished closer when seventh at Newcastle 6 weeks ago. Blinkers go back on and claims for all slow starts are a concern.

Star Start (Ire) silk

Dead heated at Beverley prior to landing this race from a 4 lb higher mark 12 months ago. Mixed bag initially this season but confirmed his return to form and had a couple of these rivals behind when second back at Beverley (1¼m, good) 8 days ago. Should be thereabouts again.

Sunny Orange (Ire) silk

Resumed winning ways at Beverley (8.5f) in April. Kept busy subsequently, running another creditable race when finishing a close-up third back at that venue (1¼m) 8 days ago, that despite not being ideally placed. Expected to give another good account from same mark.
