SIR BRUCE (1) has been running on strongly in his last 4 starts, including a big finishing second at Trentham 5 weeks ago over 1 ¼m. He will find this slightly easier, and is overdue to go one better. BRUNO (4) was very good when winning fresh up here just over 3 weeks ago, and he is a lot stronger this year. He has always been a consistent gelding, and he can go right on with the job now. PURE BARS (5) was an overdue maiden winner 3 starts back at Pukekohe when leading all the way. He has been racing in tougher fields at Ellerslie in 2 starts since then, and he could take a lot of pegging back in this. Stick with him. SOL DE OTONO (8) was a deserving maiden winner at Whanganui 3 starts back, and his form since then has also been solid enough. Include her in all top 4 combos.
