Verdict

BEAUESK (2) has returned in excellent order this prep and went within a whisker of victory when finishing a close second over 6f at Waverley last start. He is facing a tougher assignment here, but we think he will have no trouble measuring up again. CREMANT (4) regained winning form with a determined performance over this distance at Waverley 2 weeks ago, and he boasts an outstanding record at the trip. He again shapes as one of the main each-way contenders. RIBKRAKA (1) turned his form around in style with a tough win at Te Rapa last start after an unplaced effort before that. He has won his only start here, and with the aid of a 4lbs claim, he will again be highly competitive. TULSA KING (6) had his last start in the NZ Derby, and resumes after a break that would have done him the world of good. He has an excellent first-up record, and is nicely placed to give this a shake. BRIGIT (8) is a local mare who won her last start at Woodville nearly a month ago. Don't risk her.
