LUCKYTOBEHERE (7) may not have been quite ready for a mile here last time out after an encouraging debut for fourth before that at Taupo. The blinkers go on to sharpen her up, and she is worth another chance in a fairly weak field. NEW YORK BELLE (5) resumes from a spell that would have done her the world of good. All of her 3 starts to date have been on heavy tracks, and a recent trial win at Foxton was on a better surface. Craig Grylls rides from the ace gate, and the pair merits healthy respect. VENUCCI (6) has better trial form than race day form at the moment, but will be a lot stronger for her second prep, and from a decent gate, she is sure to find some friends in the market. MADISON (9) makes her debut without a public trial, but she has been to the local jumpouts held on this track. She may want more ground, but while fresh, she can give this a big shake. IRISH FLUTE (8) is another staying bred filly making her debut. She may need this, but she can't be ruled out. Top 4.
