He drops a kilo for a race that is no harder, and in a small field, he won't be relying on luck in the running. On top. BASEL WARRIOR (3) got back too far on a heavy track at Matamata 3 weeks ago and ran on too late as the favourite. He is likely to be running on late here, and with the right tempo, he can have the last say. IDYLLIC (1) has shown a lot more fight in her last couple of starts, and she could take a lot of pegging back in this. GOHUGO (4) is at his best when forcing the pace, and dropping back to 6f will suit him. In a small field, he can bounce straight back into form. RIVERPLATE (5) has been steadily improving in each run back from a spell, and he would not be a shock winner.
