OH MAIMAI (5) has plenty of upside after winning a similar race by over a length at Otaki 2 weeks ago. She only has to carry an extra 2 kg, and in another small field, she is the one to beat. ERBYS DARCI (3) has been racing consistently and can make full use of the pole position. He should be ready now to try 7f again, and with fitness on his side, he should be hard to hold out. MIDNIGHT TRAIN (2) built his form nicely to record a comfortable win as an odds-on favourite at Tauherenikau nearly a month ago. He will continue to improve with further racing, and he can repeat the dose. INTENTION (1) resumes from a spell, and had her last run in the G1 2000 Guineas in the spring. She has had a trial and can't be ruled out of winning this. FAULTLESS (4) is coming off a 7-week freshen up that would have done him no harm. A wet track would help him, and he should not be underestimated.
