Verdict

SMART LIKE JASON (11) brings the most convincing recent profile after winning at this track over 7f as favourite, beating Ayubowan by just over two lengths, and he had already been close when fourth to Vettaiyan the run prior. He is third-up, has the apprentice claim, and his broader 1m record gives confidence he can hold that form. KONNICHIWA (3) is the clear danger after missing by only a head to Pacific Rainbow over 1 ?m, though he is still chasing a win at around 1m. SHOW HAND (9) has the strongest track-and-distance credentials, with two wins and three placings from 13 tries, and his fourth to Clout reads well around a prior win as favourite. INFINITY VICTORY (8) has to rebound from a poor last-start run, but his second to Clout two back keeps him in the winning discussion if he returns to that level.
