DEFEATER (1) is close to breaking through after finishing second last start over 6f at this track when he was handy all the way. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. SILENT STORM (9) is a three-year-old gelding who is having his first run for the Hy Cheng barn. Finished off last campaign with a sixth at Bairnsdale eight months ago. Not seen at the trials but is in a nice race. Leading prospect. PACIFIC SILVER (6) finished fifth two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 6f at this track, beaten 2 lengths. Looking forward to another big run. RED DRAGONFLY (4) was beaten 3 lengths into fifth in a 7 ½f contest at this track last time out. Suitably placed so can turn things around.
