Verdict

SAVVY DONNA (8) has been beaten but far from disgraced in some hot fields this season, and drops right back in class here. She showed earlier in her career that she has plenty of talent, and with any luck, she should be too good for this field. CAPTAIN STAN (1) was well found in the market last start, but had run his race prior to the start as he became very worked up in the barriers. He has the barrier blanket on to calm him down, and the blinkers on this time to keep his mind on the job. Stick with him. UPTOWN (10) was given plenty of trial experience prior to finishing fourth on debut when just over a length from the winner. The extra furlong is ideal, and she can improve enough to be an each-way chance in this. DJIBOUTI (9) was game in debut when second on debut at Arawa Park, and with the natural improvement that is expected second up, she will be right in the finish again. UP WITH ACE (2) has hit the line strongly in both of his starts this prep. Stick with him up to the mile.
