Verdict

LEVAKIA (3) is a very progressive stayer in the making, and she looks to be perfectly placed in this with 7lbs less than she carried into sixth at Te Rapa just over a month ago. She won her penultimate start at Pukekohe before that, and she is the one to beat for us. ALTARI (4) was doing his best work late over a mile at Whanganui 17 days ago, and he is having his first start over a middle distance here. He cops a decent gate, and more importantly, he has Craig Grylls in the saddle for the first time. Each way. CROWN PRINCESS (5) capped off some solid improving form with a comfortable win by nearly a length at Taupo over 1 ?m. The extra furlong this time will be ideal, and she can repeat the dose. GIACOMO (2) has a good record here on his home track, and he is usually thereabouts at this level. Stick with him on an each-way basis. FLY MY WEY (1) has not won for some time, but he will be facing his easiest assignment in a while here. A 7lbs claim will help. Include in all top 4 combos.
