Verdict

BIDING MY TIME (4) was showing plenty of talent at the trials before finishing runner-up on debut at Taupo, and then filling the same position at Te Rapa nearly 8 weeks ago. The space between runs will do her no harm, and she can go one better in this. PAPER MOON (5) has had a brief spell after finishing second at Tauherenikau in early January. She has finished close up in a Tauranga trial late last month, and her first win won't be too far away. SUPREMELY (8) has battled in a couple of well-spaced out starts, and she might already want more ground than this. She is fresh and is bred to keep on improving with more time. Each way claims from the pole position. PRESENCE OF MIND (6) did not run up to expectations in a couple of starts in the spring, but she is much better than that. She would have matured, and Craig Grylls keeps the faith. Stick with her. PROUD CAPITALIST (7) may have just failed to see out 6f at Pukekohe last time out, and dropping back to 5 ¼f will suit her.
