Verdict

JACK CRABB (2) has improved each time this prep as he has got up over a longer trip. He will be spot on with his fitness for his first run over a middle distance, and with the blinkers off, he should go close to taking this out. HAPPY VENTURE (1) was probably a touch disappointing last time out at Arawa Park, but that was his first time over a middle distance, so he can be forgiven. He is still early in his prep, and he can improve here to figure in the top 3. Stick with him. SUBIACO (6) has tackled some better fields over a mile recently, and his only win did come at this BM60 while he was still a maiden. A form reversal is expected this time. INTOXICATED (7) will be backing up quickly from a last start sixth at Te Rapa 5 days ago. That could be the key to him finding some decent form again. VESPACIAN (9) has found it hard to win another race, but the same applies to most in this. She is peaking third up and worth including in all combinations.
