TROUBLESHOOTER (8) finished fifth last start, beaten 45 metres at Reefton over 1 ½m. Will need a bit of luck negotiating a very wide starting position. Ideally placed and is sure to be there at the finish. KUSHITE WARRIOR (10) turned in a much better run last start, finishing fifth over 1 ³/16m at Rangiora. May need luck at some stage extracting from the inside of the second row. This is a nice drop in grade so she is a major player again. WOODLEA DIAMOND (7) is worth another chance after a last-start seventh over 1 ¹/16m at Ashburton Raceway three-and-a-half weeks ago. LOGAN ROCK (3) disappointed last time when sixth over 1 ½m at Ashburton Raceway. Can do a lot better so worth considering.
