MINERS MATE (2) was very good first-up at Quirindi then missed the kick and struggled to get involved at Bathurst last start. Cherry ripe at the third run back and should enjoy all the favours from the inside stall. Big chance to break through in an average maiden. HARRY (1) raced wide and couldn't sprint with them in a 5f dash last time out. Looks ready to get out to this trip for the first time. One of the key contenders with the help of a favourable gate. FLO JO THE ESKIMO (5) has raced on the speed and not been beaten all that far in her two runs to date, the latest over this distance at Forbes. Plenty of scope for improvement. Sure to play a major role. NOTERBEL (7) returns from a 27-day spell. Ran some nice races last prep including a close second here at this trip. One to keep tabs on in betting. LONG TIME LOVERS (6) went okay at Gilgandra last start. Harder here but worth throwing in the exotics.

A race in which horses are entered for a certain price, or claiming tag, which is also their sales price. An owner can claim any horse entered for the tag before the race begins, and owns them as soon as the gates open.
