Verdict

UNIQUE AMBITION (11) ran a cheeky race at massive odds in the 7f Group 2 Guy Walter two back. Had company up front last start over the mile here and was a spent force in the concluding stages. Like her coming back to this trip, particularly if King takes a sit behind what should be a strong tempo. Can turn things around. FORMAL DISPLAY (1) raced on the speed and was a shade too strong first-up over 6 ¾f at Wyong. Loves this trip but has failed to place in three second-up runs which is the niggling concern. Still demands respect. HANAU (3) appreciated the drop in grade when a barnstorming winner here at this distance three weeks ago. Capable of a repeat performance with plenty of pace on paper. In-form mare BURJ (7) has led all the way to win her last two, each time in very tight finishes. Probably leads again from the inside alley and will give backers a great sight. UK import MONTPELLIER (2) did a good job first-up behind Formal Display at Wyong and is a likely improver.
